LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT
We took on another school food service product called
Hershey’s Super Shakes thanks to a very special director who
plainly stated that either I get this for her or she would find someone
else who would! Thus our leap into the food brokerage company business.
This evolved in 1994 into Choice Foods Brokerage. Choice
Foods, along with Damian’s, has always been dedicated to
finding products that fit the ever changing needs of the school food
service arena. We now have a 100% fruit juice drink product called
Juice Alive offered by Damian’s as well as a 100% all-natural
juice base paired with a vanilla mix from Cool Tropics that creates a
smoothie type product. These, of course, meet the juice requirements
set forth by USDA guidelines. All of our product lines fit in well with
the nutritional and health conscious standards of school and commercial
food service.
We also became very involved in developing the growth of the commodity
diversion program and have something to offer now in almost every
category of commodity diversion. In 2006, Choice Foods Brokerage was
named “Broker of the Year – Schools” for
both JTM Food Group and Sunny Fresh/Cargill.
In the past few years, we have been fortunate enough to be able to
offer lines of products that can be served without commodity
processing. In fact, almost all of our commodity products can now be
“purchased,” which keeps the consistency of the
products served all year long in stock.
Today, we are expanding outside the all-school arena and are now
offering products that are offered in fine restaurants, hotels,
colleges, nursing homes and more. We can now offer food service
purchasers many options that fit their needs
Choice Foods Brokerage Company has a proven track record with its
manufacturers and processors, and our relationship with school food
service directors is excellent.
We are also very proud of all our staff. We pride ourselves on being a
very customer service driven company. We look forward to being of
service to you with our food service products. We are always driven to
find products from companies that offer the healthiest choices
available, with the highest quality product manufacturers with your
concerns in mind.
